Animal Crackers in My Soup

Finally meandered over to the Bristol Zoo. It's evidently a must-do if every brochure/tourist website is to be taken at face value. Unfortunately, the English climate puts a literal damper on the diversity of species they can offer. They have lions, but no tigers or bears. [But we're not in Kansas anymore so I'll let that slide.] While they have gorillas and monkeys, their primary residents are birds. Lots of birds. Seriously. Big birds, little birds, flying birds, white birds, green birds, grey birds, and these bad boys -
Work that updo. Werk it!! *snaps*

It was nice day out with the girls [who needs pedicures when you can gawk at a two-ton gorilla?]. And perhaps the most exciting part of the day was seeing two male lions cuddling. I mean, how many people can say they've seen some lion spooning action? Consider that bucket list item checked. The other animals were remarkably active as well, which resulted in multiple shaky-cam videos being captured. I wish I could say the poor quality of the vlog is due to a lack of time, or a computer malfunction - but the sad truth is that I am grossly incompetent when it comes to making videos [is that ironic or simply pathetic given that I'm a film major...].

This nifty short includes:
- Cars driving in reverse [proof that you should bother to note what's happening in the shot before fiddling with it]
- Seal who has trained a human to give it food by flapping its' arms about
- Red panda that is far more active than it's monochromatic cousin [which isn't saying much]
- Gibbons monkeying around [yes. I know they're actually apes, so don't be that guy. Nobody likes that guy]
- Meerkat super jazzed about life
- And a bonus ending that includes footage of me right after I received my souvenir of the day
